Michael Had his Pinewood Derby today with his Cub Scout Pack.
They first judged on coolness..
Then the fun of the race began.
Michael won the first heat. He had to run his car backwards due to the nose of it being to low.
He had fun and learned good sportsman like behavior. He did not win but that was ok with him.
There is always next year.
Yesterday the kids and I went to the “ Kill the Bill Rally”. Now, had you told me a year ago that I would be taking my kids to a rally against Health care reform, I would have laughed in your face.
It was great to hear all the voices being shared together in a common cause. What I thought was even greater is my kids getting involved. And understanding that what Big Government is trying to do is wrong.
I chose to have what they call the “ Cadillac” of health care plans. I could get a different plan. But, there is the thing called choice. Government has no right to tell me what I need to carry or have their nose in my health business.
This was the first time my youngest has been to the capital so of course I had to get his photo of him on the steps.
This past fall Michael had joined the Cub Scouts. He has been selling popcorn to help support the events he is wanting to do.

The other day I had gotten up to go and do something. I left my laptop open and on. Came back to find this:
It is so cute yet upsetting. I must remember to close my laptop when I walk away.
The other morning my wonderful husband informed me that I was talking in my sleep.
I laughed at him and said, “Yeah, right.”
He said, “ Really, you said “ But I wanted the McCoy””
I laughed and said “Boy that auction today was really on my mind.”.
I was at least happy I was not saying anything bad in my sleep. Can you imagine what could have been said. Instead I dream about antiques. Boy what an adventurous life I have.
