MY FAMOUS EGGROLLS

Ok, so they really are not famous. I do have people who ask me to make them a lot. Not, just my husband and kids, but other people.

I decided to share with you how I make them.

039

What you need to  begin:

  • 1lb ground pork
  • 1 pkg of colesaw mix
  • ginger root
  • eggroll wraps
  • bean sprouts
  • alfalfa or broccoli sprouts
  • onion chives
  • soy sauce
  • oyster sauce
  • sesame seed oil
  • Deep fryer

You can shred your own cabbage and carrots if you want but I am all about saving time.

 044

peel and chop up 1TBS of ginner root

046

brown pork, add 2TBS of Oyster sauce, ginger, chopped chives, 1tsp sesame seed oil. 3 shakes of soy sauce. Mix together and cook for around 5 minutes.

050

Drain grease, and set meat mixture aside for now.

In a stir fry pan and cabbage, take a chunk of ginner root and put in a garlic press and squeeze. I love to do this to get all the good juices out of the root. Add more oyster sauce I drizzle a cross the top of cabbage, I do that with both sesame oil and soy sauce. I turn the burner on and heat all the way through. As, you are doing this add sprouts.

052 053

After all has been mixed and heated through add your meat.

 054

Keep on low heat and mix.

055

After around 5 minutes turn off heat. Your mixture is ready to roll.

058

While you are cooking you eggroll mixture heat up your deep fryer to 375. Prepare your work area.

you will need a cup of water and eggroll wraps. And I use a 1/4 measuring cup.

059

place you mixture on your wrap.

Here is how to wrap

At this point on the last corner get your finger wet and wipe on the edge of the wrap and roll over.

put in deep fryer for 10 minutes

Here is the end result.
