I know it is a curious work to head with. Today my oldest is with her Biological father and his wife as they are at adoption proceedings for there new daughter. I have a lot of feelings about this.
First being I do not understand how the State would allow a man who can not even take care of his own obligation(my daughter) adopt another child. I have had to take this man to court on a number of occasions to get him to pay his support. And now he is adopting a child. Now, I understand that they probably love this child and care for her but I look at it logically that it this man can not hold a job that pays more than 5.00 an hour and can not work more that 20 hours in a week and can only afford to pay $100.00 out of the $430.00 (plus medical) that was his monthly amount he owed until he asked for a modification. Now he can only afford $100.00 and no medical. The thing I asked was can I modify all the costs that it cost to feed, cloth and provide housing for my daughter. Of course, no one helps me out. (other than my wonderful, handsome husband)
So, maybe I am wrong. If I am someone please give me another prospective.
I understand that there are children out there that need homes and parents but I wish someone would have asked me. Or that they would have looked at this mans history. Even his job history would show that he is unable to afford to take care of a child. (personal opinion).

How Does this Work?
I have ranted before about or child support system here in my state but now I even have a bigger question. how does the foster care program work? The reason I ask this question is because my daughters father and his wife now have a foster daughter. AGH.
So, I went to the website for the requirements to be a foster parent to see how this happened.
So, I went to the website for the requirements to be a foster parent to see how this happened.
Here is what it says:
You must:
live in Anoka County
be at least 21-years-old, financially stable and responsible (but do not have to pay support)
have appropriate sleeping space (make own daughter sleep on couch when she visits)
There must be enough bedrooms for everyone.
Foster children can share a bedroom with a child of the same sex, if the room is large enough. (own child unable to share room with foster child)
They cannot share a bedroom with an adult or a child of the opposite sex.
complete an application for foster care
allow Anoka County to complete a criminal history background check on all household members who are 13-years-old or older
live in a home or apartment that meets fire safety code
abide by a “No Corporal Punishment” rule
be available to transport children to visitations and medical appointments
provide the County with three personal references
participate in a home study that includes interviews with all household members (tell own child it was there fault the first time they did not get a child because they were not there for interview(stepmother said))
attend on-going training (12 hours annually for each adult in the household)
You may:
be single or married
rent or own your home
already have children in your home (have own child just can not take care of)
work full- or part-time, depending on the foster child’s age and needs

I understand that there are children out there that need people to help take care of them but when I hear I can not work I am blind and so on and so forth from him and then learn that he is more than capable of taking on a foster child and being a parent there I just wonder HOW? The thing that hurts the most is how Britt feels that she is being asked over just to watch the foster kid. And now they are telling her that this child is calling them mom and dad and that they plan on adopting this child. I feel so bad for my daughter. Yes I know I do not have to let her go over and see him but I have always made it her choice. She wants to see her father. Not live with him but visiting him is fine she says. She goes because she knows that she will be coming home soon.

Child support battle
Well I had brought up a couple weeks ago that I wa s dealing with child support issues.
Well, court was this pasted Monday. And still things have not been worked out. Now in the stated of MN. They have changed the statue for how child support is determined. Now in the past they went by the fathers income and determined the amount my a percentage of what he made. Now my income is also looked at. And because he says he can not work a real job.(issues that I would right for hours about) With this new statue he would only have to pay $50.00 per month and not be responsible for Medical support.
Now here are some facts that both the Judge and the County Attorney know.
He has conflicting statement
He has a condition but has not given proper proof of his work ablility(which he was to do if he wanted a modification)(not done)
Can afford a lawer but not pay his support.
Can buy a $500.00 guitar but not pay support.
To be continued........
