Weekend Update

Things are going good. Having hard time with Jim not using hand and over extending his abilities. Not a very busy week end.
Picked up Dance Dance Supernova for ps2 for Brittany. She is very excited. It took going to about 5 different stores to locate the game with out the dance pad since we already had the dance pad. So when she starts to use it I will post photos.
Still doing cleaning up on items that I no longer need or use. So who knows maybe another contest to come your way. Hopefully more will enter.
have a great day.

Mom of the Year(ok the Day)

I So Rock No. 1 MomGreatest MomI thought I would sahre that today I won mom of the year in my daughters eyes. First thing this morning I got up got dressed had no coffee and headed to town to ge the new Harry Potter Book for my daughter. She had no clue what I was up to and was very surprised when I came home with it for her. She is the happiest kid right now reading away and happy to be one of the first to get it of her friend.

Boys Night Out

I have a wonderful husband who has no issues with me deciding to go and have a girls night or even going to have a girls day. He strongly encourages me to go out with my friends. Where he stays with the kids, and has no problems with it. I always try and get him to go out and have a good time.
Not until we moved up here he really had no one to do things with either they were busy or their other half would have a problem with them going out with out them. Now he goes about once a month out to the gun shows with his buddies. It makes me so happy to see him out and about with the guys. Anyone who know my husband would understand that he is a very quiet man and very to himself.(until you get to know him) So tonight he wanted to go to the Derby up in Mora. Now our son is only 5 and he can not go into the pits. (that is where they stage up the cars and get everything set for each heat of a derby)So, my husband decided that he was not going to go because he could no be with is friends and one of his other friend was going to stay home also. I said to him do you want to go with Michael, even though you can not go in the pits. He shock his head no that he did not want to go. I said if I occupy little man would you like to go to hang out with the guys. He said ya.(ever so sweetly) So, once his buddy heard he was going decided that he to was going to go. ( after he told his wife he was staying home )(which she had no problem with him going either)
Now we did not tell our son about the derby since he would be sad that he could not go and would not understand that daddy needed a boys night out.with out the kids, too.
So the kid and I watched a couple movies. And had some us time.

Show and Tell

Welcome to show and tell Friday Hosted by our friend Kelli. I was really having a hard time trying to see what I would have for today and then it came to me. If you read my earlier post from this week called Sneaky Mom-contest you will understand my little story.
So, last night I was going trough a box that I have had in the basement for a year. And trying to see if there was anything important in that box. All that was in the box was so vhs movies and Beanie Babies. Some floating candles and some plastic Cream and sugar holders. I asked my young man to please put the cram and sugar holders in the garbage . He responded with "mom, I want them." My response was, " no you do not need them they are garbage." My husband jumps in and says "just let him have them. " Now with that said I think he gets his packratism from both of us not just me. Here I am trying to remove stuff and here is dad saying just let him have it.
Thank you for stopping by I wish I had something more intresting to share but sometimes we just have boring stuff that happens. Now do not forget to check out my Contest. Please enter if you want the more the better.

Kid photos

Micheal got a Spiderman Digital Camera from my girlfriend and the kids brought it out with them today. Here are photos of the kids with their sitter. It is nice to know that they have a sitter that will do things with them during the day. The camera does not have the best quality but they are still neat. And they look pretty good to me.

Kinda Cool

I was checking out MSN Music last night and they had my favorite artist as a listen before it is released in the head line so I of course had to listen. So, when i hit the listen button I got a download choice. I was able to download the whole CD. I was so happy because I love to listen music while I clean so Friday I will be dancing a way.

Update on Sneaky mom

Just thought I would share my young one has located the toys I removed from his room. Yet he does not know they are his due to his big sister told him nope not yours mom got them at a auction. So, not only am I the sneaky mom but now we have the sneaky sister. What she does not know is her room is next. HA HA HA. I will get her out of the house for an after noon and in to the bottomless pit of a room. Maybe, I will take before and after pictures for all to see. That is still to be determined. I would not want to scare anyone.

Sneaky Mom- Contest

Last night while my son was eating dinner I decided I would sneak up in to his room and do a little inventory of toy. (no lack of any) He has more cars and trucks and things than any child I know. He is the kid that when we go to the store he needs (in his mind) to get a new Hot Wheels car. Yes I do give in due to the fact that he will play with this car for hours and hours. His nose is practically on the ground with the car. So, now you have the picture in your head.

I went up and removed toys that were at the bottom of the toy box that have not seen the light of day in many months. I then climbed in to his cubby closet and located other toys that have not seen daylight for quite sometime. I put the toys in a box and brought them down stairs and hide them under my desk. Due to the fact that if he were to see them I would not be able to remove them from this house. He gets his packratism from me. I have been trying to get rid of my own Items slowly it is hard but it is time so with that said I am having a Drawing.

Please leave a comment if you would like to win this item. So here we go:

This is a Hull Swan Planter this is a vintage piece one of my auction finds.
I will draw a name on Sunday morning at 9am giving everyone a week to post a comment. I will leave it open to Anonymous comment but you will have to leave your email address so I can contact you about your mailing information. Good luck to all.

Amazing

For show and tell this week hosted by Kelli I have a little story and things.
I have been for years only able to drive a automatic ask me to drive a stick and I would say nope do not know how to drive one. My father tried to teach me many years ago. That did not work out to well as we could tell I had no interest. I remember one time I was looking at a new car at the dealership and the sales guy offered to teach me and I said "nope I break it I buy it".

So yesterday was my 32nd birthday and my girlfriend got a hold of our friends Jeep and said come on your learning how to drive a stick. I said OK lets give it a go.

I did not grind the gears stalled it out a few times and found inclines a challenge but I made it. So now I can say yes I can drive a stick. Not a pro yet but give me some time and I will have it down really good. So , I now can mark that off my list of things to do.

Also amazing I made it through my birthday with out getting spanked. (hahahahaa). I had a great day I thought I would share the card my husband gave me I am in trouble now:( so a warning ladies if you get this card do not do what I did)

Myth On Pit Bulls

glumbert.com - Pit Bull Myths

I wanted to share this due to the fact that I do not own a Pit but I am not against owning one.
I live in a town (and am a council member that was not there for the vote) that has passed the ordinance making Pit Bulls Illegal to own in town along with Rot's and Dob's. I will be the first to say that it is how the dog is raised not the animal it self. My former daycare lady had a pit bull and he is the gentle dog nice as can be loves to play catch and listens very will(better than the kids) Please watch this and then make your choice.

My Rat Terrier is more likely to attack some one than my Friends Pit Bull.

Thank you for visiting

Show and Tell

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday hosted by Kelli. This week for my show and tell I thought I would share my wedding photos since to day is our Anniversary. (5 yrs). Jim and I meet through his Brother and a mutual friend. I could not ask for a better man in my life.
See before I met Jim I was on a very destructive path lots of drinking and other things, not caring what people thought and then he came in to my life and it all changed. For the best. When we decided to get married it was all planned within 4months. (I am very impatient). We had a lot of help from my parents and with out them our reception would have been KFC literally. At a run down hall on the Mississippi River. So with their help we had it a very fancy Golf Club with a beautiful hall. And the Grounds where we said our vows. It is a day I will never forget.
  • A DJ: $700.00
  • Tux : $95.00
  • A prom dress as a wedding dress $150.00
  • A Hall: price unknown
  • A day to remember forever: priceless
